Job opportunity: Chief of Staff to the Board (intern)

Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated, organized, and communicative graduate student to join our team as a Chief of Staff Intern with a focus on Governance and Internal Communication. This internship is designed to offer a hands-on learning experience in overseeing organizational governance structures and enhancing internal communication strategies within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The intern will work closely with senior leadership to ensure effective governance and to foster a culture of transparency and collaboration across the organization.

Key responsibilities 

  • Board Meeting Coordination: Help in preparing agendas, organizing materials, and coordinating logistics for board meetings. Facilitate communication between board members and management.
  • Strategic Planning Assistance: Contribute to the development of strategic plans and initiatives. Support the execution and monitoring of strategic objectives under the guidance of senior leadership.
  • Internal Communication: Aid in the development and implementation of internal communication strategies. Assist in crafting messages, coordinating internal announcements, editing of our internal Oxand Magazine and gathering employee feedback to ensure effective dissemination of information.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Assist in building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Support the organization’s efforts in stakeholder communication and engagement.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct research and analysis on governance trends, internal communication best practices, and other related topics. Prepare reports and presentations to inform decision-making processes.
  • Project support: Join the project team of one of the challenging Oxand NL projects in a business engineer role and experience what it’s like to deliver the Oxand product to our customers.

Qualifications 

  • Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a Master’s program in for example Business Administration, Management or a Technical Study.
  • Demonstrated interest in governance, strategic planning, international business and/or internal communications.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, Dutch and/or French is an advantage.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiar with virtual communication tools.
  • High level of professionalism and a strong ethical framework.

Location and duration 

This is a full-time internship position lasting 6-12 months, preferably full-time (part-time can be discussed, at least 3 days a week). Work location is at our Dutch office, in Utrecht.

Some remote work may be accommodated depending on project needs.

Reporting line

The Chief of Staff Intern will report directly to the Culture Manager and work closely with Board members and senior management of the company.
