Oxand's specificity is its dual competence, in civil engineering and in software development. The company has taken the strategic decision to develop its own software tools, which secure its independence and give value to its know-how. These tailored tools are integrated into Oxand's offer and meet specific industrial needs (nuclear, oil & gas, hydropower, waterways and coastal infrastructure).

SIMEO™ Our tools help infrastructure owners to make decisions in order to dynamically manage their assets.

The SIMEO™ simulator makes it possible to study concrete and steel ageing, in normal ageing conditions (referring to existing structures) or in an accelerated ageing process.

SIMEO™ enables determinist studies, using data stemming from clients or from our database. These studies calculate the changes of physico-chemical and mechanical characteristics of materials over time.

The other application is related to probabilistic studies, which integrate the modeling of seasonal changes and the uncertainty concerning the materials used. These probabilistic studies calculate failure probabilities, according to set goals, for example resistance.

Finally, on top of these primary functions, Oxand has developed additional applications, such as simulating maintenance actions (search of economical optimization), virtual reality (mix of real images and virtual simulations) and more recently connecting the SIMEO™ simulator with a database, gathering several decades of information on the ageing of real structures.

Every year, a significant part of the turnover is spent as R&D on continuing software development programs and simulators.
