The objective of IABMAS is to promote international cooperation in the fields of bridge maintenance, safety, and management for the purpose of enhancing the welfare of society. Their specific areas of expertise are bridge repair and rehabilitation issues, whole life costing, safety and risk issues, and economic implications.

IMdR-SdF

Created in July 2002, IMdR-SdF took over the previous safety institute, widening its scope to risk management. Its task is helping companies and public authorities in implementing a preventive approach, in order to identify, assess, quantify, rank, control and manage risks.
