It is in the brand new EDF R&D buildings in Saclay, kindly made available for the circumstance by EDF, that Mehdi ASALI, Oxand consultant for the past 5 years, will defend his thesis on December 7th. His thesis is entitled: “Modelling and forecasting the thermo-hydro-mechanical behaviour of a concrete wall. Practical applications to inner containments of nuclear reactor buildings.”
Mehdi has been working on the subject for over 3 years now, as part of his PhD thesis at University Lille 1 for Sciences and Technologies, in Laboratoire de Mécanique de Lille (LML). This defense embodies the achievement of a long-term endeavour, supervised by Jean-Baptiste COLLIAT at LML and Bruno CAPRA, technical and innovation manager at Oxand.
