Oxand, nominated for the WNE Awards 2016, Category “Knowledge Management”.
with its innovative “Business Games”
created by Oxand Academy for the nuclear industry
On the first day of the WNE (World Nuclear Exhibition) in Paris, Oxand was nominated to the WNE Awards 2016, in final competition with EDF and ROSATOM for the best Knowledge Management Solution. This has pushed the innovative “Business Games” created by Oxand Academy under the spotlight. During the WNE, visitors can play the game about asset management capabilities that had been customised for Sellafield Ltd. (UK).
As a specialist of asset, ageing and life cycle management of industrial assets, Oxand has developed training programs through its Academy. The objective is to support companies willing to improve their knowledge and skills in Asset Management.
Oxand Academy has been innovating in this domain with the creation of “Business Games”, also designed as “board games”. Indeed this playful way of training leads to a quick and efficient increase of the skills of multidisciplinary teams and encourages collaboration, knowledge management and know-how transfer within an organisation.
Oxand Academy created specific games targeted at the nuclear sector (in compliance with industry regulations, guidelines and best practices such as AP-913, ISO 55000…). It is one of this collaborative games developed jointly with Sellafield Ltd (UK), which was nominated at the WNE: participants decide which maintenance, renewal and risk mitigation actions have to be implemented to keep production running on a nuclear site.
