Feb-11-2016 | Oxand Luncheon in Houston, Texas at the Petroleum Club – Feb 2, 2016
Oxand kicked off the new year by hosting a Luncheon on 2nd February at Houston’s well known Petroleum Club, addressing the topic of business benefits brought by risk modeling and advanced asset planning. Guests included over 25 representatives from Apache, BG Group, BHP Billiton, Carrizo Oil and Gas, ConocoPhillips, Chevron, Energy XXI, Eni, EOG Resources, HESS, Sierra Hamilton, Statoil, Talos, Total, Texas A&M and Shepherd Oak LLC.
Director of US Operations, John Fosdick, welcomed guests and set up the agenda for presentations by Dr Eric Deliac (EVP for Energy and Global Development) and Emmanuel Giry (Managing Director, North America) on Oxand’s success stories in improving the industrial and economic performance of important oil and gas assets, leveraging the Simeo™ software platform and the RKB® methodology.
Discussions were interactive as Apache’s Fersheed Mody brought up considerations of how to factor in human behavior as a pivotal risk component and Eni’s Grantt Bedford stated the importance risk modeling played within his role in HSE. ConocoPhillips’ Gary Limb discussed the need to archive a foundational understanding of asset integrity processes in a system of record, especially in light of the work crew change effected by the downturn and retirement. The luncheon marked a significant start to the 2016 season for Oxand’s US office based in Houston, Texas.
